Testamentary Gifts From Trusts & Estates

As of November 15, 2004, University Development and Alumni Relations’ Office of Gift Planning will manage the administration of the Trusts & Estates of which the University is a beneficiary. As of this date, all Trust & Estate matters, previously forwarded to Treasury Services, should be forwarded to the Office of Gift Planning. This may include:

  Copies of Wills & Trusts
  Beneficiary notifications
  Attorney, Executor, and Trustee correspondence
  Trust & Estate distributions
  Trust & Estate accountings
Receipt & Releases to be signed by authorized University Officers
  Life insurance gift premium payments.

The responsibility for Trusts & Estates has resided with Treasury Services, which will continue to provide support during the transition. Oversight and accounting for perpetual trusts held by a third-party will continue to be handled by Treasury Services.
