- Consultation – Internal Audit provides consultative services on the creation and best practice of controls. This is accomplished through the participation in special projects and committees.
- Fraud Investigation – Fraud investigation is conducted in collaboration with Public Safety, Office of General Counsel, or the Compliance Hotline Committee.
- Risk Assessment – A yearly review of the various business processes and financial reports coupled with senior management discussions results in the creation of the yearly Audit Plan which is presented and approved by the Audit Committee of the Board of Trustees.
- Internal Control Training – Internal Audit contributes information about internal controls for various training programs, especially financial systems training, to ensure that staff understand what internal controls are and how to apply them within any business group or process.
