The Chart of Accounts in ARC refers to how we have organized our financial information. We have replaced the account structure that existed in FAS. You will need to understand “ChartFields” as the individual components that will describe each element of a financial transaction (what department, what funding source is being used, etc). A group of ChartFields together makes a “ChartString”. A ChartString is needed for every procurement transaction and journal entry in ARC.
Please use the navigation menu at the left for instructions on how to create new ChartStrings.
